Conor McArdle

Conor McArdle is an Assistant Professor with the School of Electronic Engineering in DCU. His research interests include telecommunications system performance analysis and next-generation datacenter optical networking.

ABOUT CONOR

Conor McArdle is an Assistant Professor with the School of Electronic Engineering in DCU. He has worked on European and SFI funded research projects in the areas of performance of telecommunications and datacentre networks and has worked with industry in the areas of dimensioning of mission-critical network management systems and on security aspects of mobile voice/data networks. He has supervised four PhD students and one research MEng student to completion in topics including high-speed optical network architectures for data centres and optical packet switching protocols and has co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed research papers in conference proceedings, journals and books. Conor currently teaches in the areas of object-oriented programming, algorithms and network modelling and dimensioning and has previously taught courses on data network protocols, telecommunications software architecture and database systems.
